Job Title: School Caretaker/Premises Officer
Location: Hammersmith
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-term Temp-to-Perm

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join the school we work with based in Hammersmith. The ideal candidate will ensure the school premises are safe, clean, and well-maintained. This is a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the school and providing a welcoming environment for the students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks across the school premises.
Greet children and parents in the morning when they arrive at school.
Ensure all areas of the school are safe and secure, including locking and unlocking buildings and checking security systems.
Carry out minor repairs and liaise with external contractors for larger maintenance issues.
Maintain outdoor spaces, including playgrounds and sports fields.
Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for school events and activities.
Monitor and manage heating, lighting, and other utility systems.
Respond promptly to emergencies and unexpected situations.Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar caretaker or maintenance role.
Previous experience (not necessarily as a caretaker) working in a school.
Decent IT skills.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual tasks.
Flexibility to work outside regular school hours when necessary.
