Site Manager – New Build Housing

Sphere Solutions is working with a respected housebuilder to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join a site in West Cornwall. This is a great opportunity to join a long standing multi-phased site, where you can make it your own, striving for award-winning status.

You will take day to day responsibility for the construction of this development, including all associated subcontract packages, ensuring that targets are met regarding health and safety, delivery to build programme quality, customers care, and cost.

Responsibilities:

* Ensuring HSE compliance on-site at all time, including NHBC standards, building regulations and overall quality standards

* Co-ordinating labour and sub-contractor resources

* Initiating and attending plot inspections

* With the support of the Contracts Manager, ensure that the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed

Suitable candidates will possess the following:

* Extensive house building experience, with at least 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager

* Demonstrate good leadership skills, ensuring delivery to the highest quality.

* In-depth knowledge of both traditional and modern construction methods

* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work – will consider both a trade and academic background providing evidence of volume house building and longevity with previous employers

* Due to the location, good knowledge of the Cornish supply chain is essential
