THE BUSINESS
  
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Technician who has direct experience working within the Thermoforming industry to work on a permanent contract for our client based in Tyne & Wear.

As an experienced Maintenance Technician within the Plastics Sector, you will be responsible for setting up to 8 illig thermoforming lines.
  
THE ROLE

Delivering planned and reactive maintenance to 8 thermoforming lines
Ensuring maximum “up” time and aiding production via maintaining machinery
Creating a maintenance plan for all machinery and equipment
Establishing maintenance policies and procedures
Identify and implement ‘critical spares’ to reduce downtime
Responding to breakdowns
Perform routine maintenance on all assets and site
Diagnosing and logging faults
Plan and oversee the repair of equipment and testing
Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
Supervising contractors and technical staff.
Ordering specialist components, fixtures or fittings in line with engineering budget
Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
Keeping records of faults and repairs.
Installing equipment (where possible) and overseeing all equipment required for installation
Improve health and safety policies and procedures
Work within company Health and Safety Rules & BRCGS Standards
Carry out any other duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed and maintain a professional attitude
Adhere to all policies and procedures as set out within the employee handbook   
  
THE PERSON

Must have experience working to maintain either thermoforming or extrusion lines (preferably both)
Must be time served Electrically Biased Maintenance Technician
Must be confident to work with PLC’s (Siemens S7/Bosch)
Must be strong to fault find and diagnose issues
Able to record maintenance activities
Must have experience conducting maintenance activities in compliance to food safety standards
