The Finance Assistant role:
As our current Finance Placement heads back to university, we are looking to replace him with a permanent hire. We’re looking for a detail-orientated and motivated Finance Assistant to join our team. If you have a passion for numbers, enjoy problem-solving, and want to develop your career in finance, we’d love to hear from you!
Main responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
Administering and analysing hours worked via Connecteam app
Reconciling credit card statements and processing transactions
Assisting with day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices, expenses, and payments
Handling queries related to invoices, payments, and account discrepancies
Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts
Supporting the finance team in preparing financial reports
Supporting with month end processes
Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Our ideal Finance Assistant will have the below skills and experience:
Experience within a company finance team
A Finance/Accounting or related qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable but not essential
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Experience of administering CIS and DRC is desirable but not essential
Independence and self-reliance
Enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
Ability to think on your feet and be self-motivated
A team player
Communicating with suppliers and customers professionally and courteously
A positive, can-do attitude that fits our team culture
