Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Telford
Shift Pattern: Night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday and Monday

About the Role:
Our client are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in a fast-paced production environment. This role is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring minimal downtime on our manufacturing and processing lines. Working primarily on night shifts, you will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems to support production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production equipment to optimize performance and reduce downtime.

* Rapidly diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns, ensuring the smooth running of operations.

* Collaborate with the production team to implement improvements and enhance equipment reliability.

* Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, adhering to health and safety protocols.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

Key Skills & Experience:

* A proven background in mechanical maintenance engineering within manufacturing or processing environments.

* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.

* Knowledge of conveyor systems, pumps, motors, and other industrial machinery.

* Familiarity with health and safety requirements in an industrial setting.
