Secondary school SENCO Position

Position: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Location: Haringey
Salary: £63,000 - £67,000
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently working alongside a developed mainstream Secondary School in Haringey looking for an experienced SENCO to join their team. Are you an experienced education professional with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the students while contributing to an inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate special educational needs provision across the school.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) & Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
Leading and managing staff within SEN
Monitor and track student progress, ensuring tailored support is provided.
In class teaching across the curriculum
Making referrals
Collaborate with staff to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.Requirements:

Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
A SENCO qualification or actively working towards gaining one
QTS not essential but desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding and knowledge of SEN needs
A commitment to promoting inclusivity and student wellbeing.
