Contracts Manager / Project Manager | Cladding & Façade Remediation
Location: London / Greater London (company has office in London & Kent)
Start: May (or sooner, if you're sick of your current gig)

This main contractor is after someone who can steer a few façade remediation jobs without breaking a sweat - or breaking the programme.

This isn't some 50-storey curtain wall odyssey, but you'll be across 2-3 smaller projects (circa £5-10m each). Typical jobs would involve (in real basic terms) scaffold goes up, taking off the old combustible bits, putting on the non-combustible bits, and doing it all without incident, delay, or drama. A scaffold goes up, things happen, buildings get safer. You'll make sure that actually... happens.

The role:
·Manage a few live sites at once. 2-3 days on site, rest split between the Central London or Kent office (or wherever you can get a half-decent coffee and Wi-Fi). No working from home - but you can manage your own diary. It's flexible, not free-for-all
·Oversee the Site Managers, keep the programme moving, keep the Director informed
·Involved pre-start: logistics, sequencing, tender support (not a full Estimator gig, don't worry)
·Represent the company (and ideally not embarrass it) in meetings and on site
·Some design interface - not drawing things, but understanding what's being drawn and when
·Asta-literate (you don't need to write one), but do need to read, understand and report (progress of works / any issues etc.)
·Subcontractor-led delivery model - so you're coordinating, not laying bricks

What we're looking for:
·You might have some experience as a Project Manager or a Contracts Manager and are looking to progress and be recognised
·Cladding/façade remediation experience helpful, but not mandatory
·Organised, clear-headed, and allergic to chaos
·Able to spot issues before they become programme-destroying headaches
·High standards, attention to detail, and not afraid of saying that's not good enough
