Senior Commercial Manager (Highways Maintenance - TMC)
Our client, a prominent player in the infrastructure sector, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead their Highways Maintenance division and oversee a significant term maintenance contract. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the commercial team to achieve strategic and financial goals.
Oversee the administration and execution of the highways maintenance term contract, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and efficient resource allocation.
Develop and implement robust commercial strategies to optimise profitability and control costs.
Manage contract negotiation, variations, claims, and dispute resolution to safeguard the company's interests.
Work closely with operational teams to maintain alignment between project delivery and commercial objectives.
Maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and business growth.
Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and regular financial reports for senior management.
Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements related to highways maintenance projects.
Provide mentorship and guidance to the commercial team, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Commercial Manager, preferably in highways maintenance or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of term maintenance contracts, NEC forms of contract, and related contractual frameworks.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Expertise in contract negotiation, cost management, and risk mitigation.
Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to solve complex commercial challenges.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field; relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) are highly desirable.
