Job Title: Geotechnical Area Manager
Location: North West - Greater Manchester
Contract Details: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year

Our client is a leading civil engineering organisation specialising in ground investigation and construction. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services, they are seeking a Geotechnical Area Manager to join their team in Greater Manchester.

Professional development and training opportunitiesResponsibilities:
Lead the delivery of ground investigation services in the Southern area office, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget
Prepare tenders and manage projects both technically and financially
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with clients
Coordinate and execute ground investigations, providing expertise and input into the planning stage of new projects
Maintain effective communication with clients as well as internal stakeholders
Manage and develop a team of engineers, ensuring effective use of resources
Contribute to business development strategies to grow the contract business
Maintain and enhance management systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
Monitor and audit contractual and assurance performance
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technological advances in the geo-environmental fieldEssential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
At least 10 years of relevant ground investigation and construction experience
BSc (MSc preferable) in Earth Sciences or Geotechincal related degreeDesirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience in project management and contract delivery
Strong communication and people management skills
Business development experience
Chartered Status - Highly DesirableTechnologies:
Proficient in relevant software and tools related to ground investigation and project managementHow to Apply:
