Senior Quality Inspector

On behalf of Our client we are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector. This is a permanent role in a growing company in the outskirts of nottinghamshire that produce high precision low volume parts and are regularly investing into the business and their staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within quality and inspection. This role involves inspecting parts and products at various stages of production with handheld measuring equipment and using the CMM. The inspector will document findings, communicate issues to the production team, and ensure compliance. A strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, and general assemblies is required. Experience working to ISO 9001 standards is also essential.

Senior Quality Inspector

* Perform inspections of machined components using handheld equipment

* Quality inspection of components using a CNC CMM Machine

* Identify non-conforming components or processes

* Using manual inspection micrometers, callipers & shadow graphs etc

* Working to complex engineering drawings

* Completion of inspection reports and producing FAIR’s

* Conduct inspections of incoming materials, and finished products

* Utilise testing equipment and methods to assess product performance.

* Record inspection results by completing reports, logs, and data entry.

* Document non-conformances and work with production teams to resolve quality issues.

* Participate in quality audits and assist in maintaining ISO and other quality certifications.

Senior Quality Inspector

* Setting up processes and procedures from scratch

* Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

* Knowledge of Quality, Quality Assurance and Inspection

* Previous quality inspection within a manufacturing environment

* Experience and understanding of working of high precision engineering

* Experience with using measurement tools (e.g., callipers, micrometers, gauges).

* Experinced in using CMM machines.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
