The Opportunity
The UK is a world leader in the nuclear sector, and there has never been a better time to join this industry. Our partner organisation is one of the key players in the UK’s nuclear market, supporting everything from new build projects, to decommissioning and the Nuclear Deterrent.

Given their continuous expansion, they are currently searching for EC&I Designers and Engineers of all levels to join their dynamic team on a permanent, full-time basis. Our partner is open to hybrid and flexible working opportunities.

To be considered for these roles, you must be able to attain SC Security clearance.

These roles have been deemed inside IR35.

Salary Range
£35,000 - £70,000 Depending on Experience

As an Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be
To manage the effective delivery of all engineering and technical activities.
Produce, review and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as appropriate.
Assist in the effective management of the customer.
Ensure codes, procedures and standards are correctly identified and applied.
contribute to Project Safety Assessment processes.
Evaluate technical issues to develop the planning, control and delivery of tasks and projects.
Make Engineering decisions within your own realm of responsibility.More senior engineers (Lead level) will be required to act as a Subject Matter Expert and help less experienced team members when required. You will also be required to ensure the effective management of multi-discipline teams to ensure the timely delivery of engineering work.

As a Designer your duties and responsibilities will be
Produce, with input from other team members, Engineering Design Work Packages that satisfy customer and legal requirements.
Promote effective co-operation across Design and other teams across the organisation.
Assist in the effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship building.More senior Designers will also allocate tasks to more junior team members, as well as provide support where required. You will also be required to assist in the resolution of production and technical queries, coming up with solutions to those issues.

You will have the following qualifications & experience

Engineer

Minimum of HND in Electrical Engineering or similar.
Working towards, or already hold chartership status.
Familiar with various industry software including AutoCAD and Amtech Trimble.Designers

Minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar.
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software packages.It’s great if you also have the following
Previous experience in the nuclear sector is preferred, but not essential. We will consider candidates from other, highly regulated industries (Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas etc.).Get in touch now
