As an experienced Electrical Design Engineer working within a small team, you will work hands-on, on a broad range of LV architecture for electric powertrain systems for buses and other vehicles. Under the Supervision of the management you will contribute towards the building of electric harnesses.

You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop design solutions for a variety of unique engineering challenges. From concept to production, this is a vital role in delivering high-quality, reliable products – working closely with the engineering team, customers and suppliers.

Electrical Design Engineer Role:

* Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing, and set up and run simulations.

* Collaborate with customers & suppliers to understand requirements.

* Work within a team, utilizing own ideas and initiative to drive design solutions.

* Design and develop LV, HV and CAN network architectures for electric bus repower projects.

* Build and test harnesses for the LV, HV and CAN networks, ensuring they meet the necessary performance and reliability requirements.

* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems, mechanical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.

* Develop and execute test plans to verify electrical component functionality and performance.

* Support the development of new products and technologies through research and development efforts.

* Provide technical support to other engineers on the team.

* Create and maintain documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and test plans.

* Perform job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure preservation of Company Quality Policy

* Occasional travel may be required to visit clients, suppliers, or attend industry events.

* The role may involve working outside regular hours to meet critical deadlines.

Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive electrical engineering, preferably in the electric vehicle industry.

* Knowledge of ISO26262 and the V-cycle.

* Motivated to expand and further develop knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

* Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small team or independently.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

* Hands-on experience in designing and building LV, HV and CAN network architectures.

* Experience in building and testing harnesses for LV, HV and CAN networks.

* Familiarity with electric powertrain systems and components, such as batteries, electric motors, and power electronics.

* Experience working with electrical simulation and design software.

* Familiarity with automotive electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
