A renowned private medical eye clinic based on Harley Street is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to look after the patients' pre- and post-operative needs. The role involves some ophthalmic diagnostic testing and assisting the surgeon in the theatre. No ophthalmic experience is required. Salary £35,000 - £36,000. This is a maternity cover contract role.
The Staff Nurse will oversee the patient’s pre- and post-operative ophthalmic testing, administer and dispense eye drops, educate the patient on how to use drops, assist the surgeon in surgery, and order medical supplies.
Hours are 37.5, Monday to Friday. Shifts are typically 07:00-16:30, 08:00-17:30, 09:00-17:30 and 10:30-19:00. The Nurse needs to be happy to work one Saturday/ Sunday a month (unlikely to be once a month, more likely to be once every three months) and they get a day off in the week.

Staff Nurse requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Nursing and to hold a valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). At least 2 years’ experience working in a general hospital
