Microbiology & Food Technologist

Alexander Steele have partnered with an established food manufacturing business in Essex. Our client is seeking for an experienced microbiology & food technologist to join the business on a permanent basis. The role holder will look to support tasks related to microbiological food safety.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct sampling for microbiological system requirements with the collection and submission of samples

* Supporting food microbiology related functions of the department and ensuring that the daily and weekly technical functions are also carried out

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as npd team, quality assurance.

* Conduct shelf-life assessment sampling and support shelf-life analysis.

* Support investigations into abnormal lab results.

Background Experience:

* Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a similar role

* Level 3 food safety management/microbiology

* Familiar with Windows, MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.

* Experience auditing is desirable but not a necessity

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and attention to detail
