We are looking for Support Workers to join our amazing team who work at our service in Bury St Edmunds! We have Full-time (37.5 hours per week) and Part time (20 hours per week) position. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
No experience is needed just a can-do and positive attitude. We can give you all the training that you need to become an outstanding Support Worker- what we need is someone that wants to support people who have learning disabilities to live their best lives, and to live life to the full!
About our services
The role of a support worker can be dynamic, supporting people out and about, eating out, theatre, shopping, tea and cake or the pub, and visiting family, generally enjoying a good social life. The role is also domestic, health and safety around the house, supporting and encouraging people with cleaning, laundry, gardening; everything we all do to run a smooth household. The role is very personal, support in the bathroom/shower and getting dressed, supporting someone with their mobility - this could be using a wheel chair or hoisting. Support to style someone’s hair as they are going out for the evening, support with eating and drinking and with any health needs and medication. Choice The people we support communicate if different ways so we work creatively to ensure that people can make their own choices and have a proper say about how they want to live their lives and run their home.
