GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a forward-thinking law firm, who pride themselves on expert, bespoke services.

We are supporting their recruitment of an experienced Senior Legal Cashier to join their busy and friendly accounts team at their Gloucestershire branch. The role works together with other legal cashiers in the team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department and closely works with fee earners and support roles within the Firm to process finance transactions.

This position is working Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm and you will receive a highly competitive basic salary circa £28-32K which is pending relevant experience.

Ideally, we are looking for an individual that can demonstrate previous experience with LEAP/Xero

Senior Legal Cashier main duties:

* Processing of Billing

* Dealing with all day-to-day ledger postings to Client and Office accounts

* BACS/CHAPS payments

* Bank Account reconciliation

* Checking Bills and Completion Statements

* Credit Control

* Purchase Ledgers

* Inputting HMLR and Card Payments

* Dealing with Dormant Balances

* Supporting the accounts team with general administration of accounts

* Working with fee earners to ensure matter balances are kept accurate and up to date

Senior Legal Cashier skills and experience:

* Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or similar role

* Experience with LEAP/Xero

* Familiarity with legal billing processes is a plus

* Have knowledge of SRA Account Rules

* Have a strong attention to detail and be able to work quickly under pressure

* Knowledge of annual audit and inspection processes

* Understanding of basic banking processes

* Being able to maintain confidentiality to our internal and external clients

* Demonstrate reliability, organisation and ability to work as part of a team

* Flexible attitude, ability to deal with multiple tasks
