About the role:
This purpose-built, 2-bedded Short Break service located in Reigate, designed to provide vital support to young people transitioning out of Tier 4 settings or those needing preventative care to avoid admission. Known for outstanding reputation and rated Outstanding by Ofsted, our client takes pride in providing a nurturing environment with a therapeutic approach tailored to the needs of young people. Supported by an expert clinical team, including psychologists and other mental health professionals, our client creates a safe, supportive, and empowering space for each young person.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our client's Short Break service. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it continues to operate in line with Ofsted standards and maintain its outstanding rating. You will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of young people, providing them with the stability and support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Provide inspirational and effective leadership to the team, creating a positive, resilient, and high-performing environment.
* Compliance: Ensure the service meets and exceeds Ofsted regulatory standards, maintaining our Outstanding rating.
* Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical support team, including psychologists, to develop individualised care plans and therapeutic approaches tailored to each young person.
* Safeguarding: Promote a culture of safeguarding, ensuring all policies and practices reflect our commitment to safety and well-being.
* Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a dedicated team of care professionals, promoting continuous improvement.
* Community Engagement: Establish strong partnerships with local agencies, families, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to each young person’s support.
What We’re Looking For:
* A Registered Manager with a strong track record in a similar role, ideally within children’s services or residential care.
* Experience supporting young people with complex needs, ideally in a Tier 4 step-down or preventative setting.
* Comprehensive understanding of Ofsted regulations and high standards for service delivery.
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and people management skills.
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent qualification.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
