Are you a talented and experienced chef looking to lead a hardworking group of people in one of the South West’s popular seaside destinations? We are seeking a Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to take charge of our clients busy kitchens and deliver outstanding culinary experiences to their visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchens.
* Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene in line with health and safety regulations.
* Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships, ensuring the use of local and fresh ingredients.
* Oversee staff recruitment, training, and scheduling, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
* Manage kitchen budgets, control costs, and minimize waste.
* Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen during peak times, especially weekends and holidays.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar role.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage and inspire a kitchen team.
* Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy tourist seasons.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and costs.
* A creative flair for menu development, understanding of dietary needs, and the ability to cater to various tastes.
