A family run main contractor in Hitchin, Hertfordshire are looking for a Assistant Estimator to be based from their offices.

They have a loyal/stable workforce and are financially secure. This position is available due to growth

They get lots of repeat business (roughly 75% of their work is repeat business)They have a full order book for this year and work secured for next year

This company will offer you exposure to a variety of schemes and the opportunity to be a big part of the business

You will benefit by working close to the construction process, and will be trained by a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, who has been with the company for a number of years

The Role – Assistant Estimator

As an Assistant Estimator, you will be assisting on a range of commercial schemes, ranging from education, local authority, commercial, healthcare, commercial to residential conversions up to circa £6m

Current schemes include:

·7 storey apartment block ·New build / refurbishment of a hotel worth £4.6m ·Church refurbishment and extension worth £1.4m ·School extension and refurbishment worth £1.5m

The right person: Assistant Estimator

You will have 2 years or more experience working as an Assistant Estimator or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor or a subcontractor
