Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We?re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team!

What you?ll be doing:

Identify strategies to help overcome individual pupils? barriers to learning
Be prepared to use humour and restorative practice to ensure a child-centred approach
Support the transition of new pupils arriving or existing pupils returning to school, putting the necessary support in place to overcome any barriers to learning
Provide in class support as necessary to meet the needs of the school.
Liaise with other staff to monitoring pupils? behaviour and well being
Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage family involvement in their child?s progress
Communicate with parents/carers about specific support in place for their child.

Who are we?

Mill School Bury is an independent autism specialist school which supports children and young people aged from 7 - 17. The school has been designed to best support children?s mental health and well-being and to provide a state-of-the-art learning environment.

The school is set in its own extensive grounds including areas for Bush Craft and a MUGA. Inside, a combination of rebound, multi-sensory and immersive reality therapy spaces ensure the holistic approach continues.

Mill School Bury is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
