Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer

Salary: up to £48,535 per annum

The Role

Our client is currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer, they are a market leading manufacturer of ambient food. The successful candidate should ensure equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and a safe working environment as well as be able to maintain minimum downtime to ensure production is efficient. My client operates a 4-on-4-off days/nights shift pattern (6:00-18:00/18:00-6:00) interchangeably.

Duties and responsibilities:

To handle electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and environmental aspects
To oversee installation, maintenance, and commissioning of machinery whilst maintaining a close collaboration with production and other departments.
To be able to maintain the cleanliness of site by adhering to routine engineers' toolbox checks.
To identify opportunities for improvement in equipment performance and reliability.
To be able to utilise CMMS system effectively for recording and fault resolution.
To develop contingency plans for electrical system failures and to contribute to the development of emergency response procedures.

The Candidate

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
Ideally a proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing/FMCG.
Familiarity with PLC systems and automation technology is advantageous.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
