The Opportunity:

We are working with a respected highways contractor to find a dependable and organised Yardman to support their street lighting and highways teams. This essential role ensures the smooth running of the yard, managing stock and materials efficiently to keep projects moving.

Key Responsibilities:

* Stock Duties: Oversee stock control, accept and organise deliveries, and manage inventory to ensure materials are available when needed.

* Yard Maintenance: Maintain a clean, orderly yard and store area, free of hazards.

* Collaborative Working: Work closely with the street lighting management team to coordinate stock and equipment requirements.

* Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols to maintain a secure yard environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Experience in a similar role, ideally within highways or construction

* A valid forklift licence (essential)

* Excellent organisational skills, physical stamina, and attention to detail

* Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work well in a team
