The Opportunity
The Prefabrication team in our Blackburn Head Office are responsible for delivering a range of equipment used across our District Heating and Sustainable Energy schemes such as pipework, brackets and skids.
Due to the ongoing growth of the business, we are expanding our in-house welding capabilities and as a result are looking to recruit skilled TIG or MMA Welders who are looking to join a tight-knit and friendly team where they can work in a static role that will provide them with the flexibility to choose between work-life balance or enhanced earnings through plenty of overtime available.
The Role
* Interpreting drawings, prefabrication sketches and specifications
* Manufacturing/fabricating brackets, pipework, equipment skids etc
* Responding positively and proactively to changes in schedule and requirements
* Ensuring stock levels are monitored and managing materials used
* Working closely with the fabrication manager to achieve required deadlines
* Organising, loading and unloading of delivery/collection materials at the prefabrication facility
The Person
* Previous experience in TIG or MMA Welding
* Coded Welder to class 1 or 2 standards
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
The Package
* Starting salary of £37,440 (Class 2) or up to £41,600 (Class 1)
* Overtime at 1.5x rate (Monday to Saturday) or 2x (Sunday)
