English teacher - Salford - December start
Prospero teaching are working with a popular secondary school within the local authority of Salford who are recruiting for a temporary teacher of English to join their team from the beginning of December until the end of the current academic year, July 2025. The role will be part time, 0.9.
You will be required to become fully immersed in the department and school follow the schools core values and be respectful of their Ethos. You will be required to attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes. Regularly mark work and provide feedback to students. You will be teaching classes across both key stage 3 & 4.
The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who has more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role)

Hours 8:15am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 8:15am - 1pm Friday
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one
Provide two professional references
