We have taken another role brief for an existing client of ours and they are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their business. They have achieved a lot of success over recent years due to increased client demand and referrals for new projects due to outstanding delivery. Hours: The hours will be between Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4pm

Job description

* Develop, review, and implement health and safety policies and procedures to meet legal and organisational standards across all sites in London.

* Maintain and update the company’s health and safety management system in line with current legislation.

* Conduct thorough risk assessments for various work activities and environments.

* Lead and assist in internal safety audits and inspections to evaluate compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Ensure full compliance with UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines, COSHH, RIDDOR, and other relevant safety regulations.

* Monitor legislative changes and ensure the company adheres to any updates in health and safety law.

* Maintain accurate records of all health and safety documentation, such as safety data sheets, incident reports, and training logs.

* Prepare and submit detailed incident reports for management, ensuring all incidents are properly documented and reported to the relevant authorities as per legal requirements.

* Develop, implement, and periodically test emergency response procedures, including fire drills, first aid responses, and evacuation plans.

* Ensure that all staff are familiar with emergency protocols and are properly trained to act in case of an emergency.

Key requirements

* Construction industry experience

* Experience with a HSEQ management system.

* Experience in the maintenance of ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.

* NEBOSH qualification

* IOSH and experience with ISO / CHAS desirable.

* Computer literate.

* Driving license.
