As part of our Power Assemblies Team, this is a brand-new position and opportunity for an Applications Engineer to join us on a full time, permanent basis.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the New Business Development Director for Power Assemblies, this role is a new position for the team, and will be focused on developing new business for Power Assemblies, as well as maintaining and supporting our current customer base. 
As an Applications Engineer, this role will be largely customer facing, supporting with enquiries, meeting regularly with our customer / client base to refine project and product specifications, prior to the order intake and release to the engineering group. This role will include both Dynex projects as well as support sales for our Parent Company in China for large converters for renewable energy markets. A varied role, other activities will include:

Engaging with the Engineering Design teams, providing additional design support in line with project requirements.
Representing Dynex at Exhibitions, gaining marketing information to feedback to help shape and direct our future technology and product strategies. 
Liaising and occasionally travelling to meet our Chinese colleagues and support sales of large converters for renewable energy markets.

ABOUT YOU

As a team, we work closely together, we are looking for an experienced Engineer who has experience in the tendering process; an individual who thrives in a customer / client facing role. To be considered for role you also require:

Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering.
Commercially astute, with experience being customer / client facing. 
Knowledge and experience of the tender process. 
Practical engineering experience, including design for power electronics converters.
Understanding of renewable markets (eg Solar, BESS, Hydrogen, Wind) would be advantageous.
An Engineer who likes to get involved with both technical engineering aspects such as design as being commercial astute in a customer and client facing role. 
Flexible and willingness to travel.
