Placement Support Officer (Children) - Halton
Salary: £16.63 an Hour
Full-Time (37 hours)
Contract: Six Months – Possibly beyond

Assist with the sourcing, monitoring and quality assuring placements for children and young people in the care of Halton Borough Council, which includes young people aged up to 18 and children with disabilities.
Research and provide information that assists the Council in managing the market for services for children, young people and families to optimum effect.
Work closely with internal and external partners including Social Workers, providers of foster care, residential care organisations and colleagues across children’s services, adult services, education and health.
Plan and undertake placement monitoring and quality assurance to ensure high quality placements are commissioned that offer value for money and improve outcomes for children and young people.
Assist in the management of the Children’s Contract Commissioning in order to secure high quality, cost effective and customer care focussed external care contracts and service level agreements.
The role deals with emergency placement sourcing which must be arranged at short notice in pressurized situations as well as longer term planning of placements. Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.
