Job Title: LSA Engineer - Team Lead

Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683 - £52,426 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

Establishing and maintaining (through the project lifecycle) the frameworks, plans, processes and engineering approach required on the GCAP & FCAS programmes to undertake supportability / Logistics Support Analysis
Establishing and maintaining the Logistics Support Analysis Record and toolset in digital and collaborative international environments
Managing a relationship between the engineering capability teams and engineering central function to influence the current and longer-term skills, processes and tools needed for supportability / LSA engineering on a next generation platform (Including maintaining an awareness of latest changes and developments in supportability / LSA standards, international specifications, toolsets and recognised methods)
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by representing the Supportability Engineering team at broader technical reviews, integration activities, and planning events
Providing technical supportability / LSA engineering guidance, advice, mentoring and support to junior or less experienced supportability engineers in the team
Influencing the design and future sustainment of platforms and systems so that they are inherently supportable in their intended use within the constraints of the operation and environmentYour skills and experiences:

Degree qualified in a relevant engineering field (or demonstrable professional experience working in a relevant engineering roles)
Detailed knowledge of the principles of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Testability
Experience of applying at least several of the following Supportability engineering tools / techniques / approaches on complex programmes: Logistics Support Analysis including Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
Knowledge and experience in applying international and/or military standards and specifications relevant to supportability engineering (e.g. ASD/AIA S-Series Specifications, MSG-3, Def-Stan 00-600, Def-Stan 00-045)
Good IT Skills, including MS Office but also experience working with digital engineering tools

The team:

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a major international combat air development programme from the early lifecycle - influencing the "design for support" considerations of the core platform concepts and eliciting requirements for the support solution. The role will evolve into the development and in-service phases of the programme, by generating, managing and configuring the outputs of various supportability engineering activities using internationally recognised standards and methods.
