About the Bandsaw Operator job

The purpose of your role will be to take responsibility for setting up, operating, and maintaining a bandsaw machine on order to cut the company’s meat produce into specific shapes and sizes.

Key tasks

* Regularly adjust the bandsaw settings, selecting the correct blade, and ensuring the material is properly positioned for cutting. Safely use the bandsaw to make accurate cuts based on production orders.

* Diligently follow safety protocols, wearing protective gear, and ensuring the work area is hazard-free.

* Continually inspect blades for wear, replacing dull or damaged blades, lubricating moving parts, and fixing minor mechanical issues.

* Loading and unloading raw materials, stacking finished products, and ensuring proper storage as well as quality checking finished pieces for accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

About You

* The successful candidate shall be an experienced bandsaw operator required for the cutting of frozen lamb, pork and beef into chops and steaks.

* Portion control experience would be highly advantageous.

The Bandsaw Operator job (ref:8867) is paying £26,000 - £30,000 according to your experience.

The site is based in Benfleet, Essex and is commutable from Basildon, Southend, Rayleigh, Canvey Island and surrounding towns.

This is a full time, permanent job role, working Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm with optional overtime available.
