The Role – CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)

We are looking for a CNC Turning Setter/Operator to join a fast-paced, precision-driven machining section. You’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC Lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components to exact tolerances. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner looking to work with modern equipment, develop their expertise, and contribute to a growing, forward-thinking business.

Key Responsibilities

* Set and operate CNC Lathes, ensuring accurate and efficient production

* Work with multi-spindle, mill/turn machines to manufacture precision components

* Read and interpret engineering drawings to maintain tight tolerances

* Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and CNC programmers to meet production targets

* Perform quality checks using hand measuring tools to ensure part accuracy

* Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, tooling, and setup

* Adhere to health & safety standards and ensure safe machine operation

* Support Continuous Improvement initiatives (LEAN, 6S) to optimize processes

About You

* Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator), ideally with multi-spindle mill/turn machining

* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Skilled in using precision measuring instruments to check components

* Fanuc controls experience preferred (training available)

* A team player with the ability to work independently when required

* Passionate about working in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment
