**HGV Tanker Mechanic Required** To join an internationally recognized transport and logistics company at their Morley site.
This company offers their customers premium vehicle and trailer rental services, as well as a range of additional facilities such as truck/trailer maintenance, breakdown assistance and asset tracking.
In this role you will be working on the companies fleet of ridged and articulated tankers.
Responsibilities
* Carry out detailed tanker inspections
* Tanker maintenance and repair work
* Familiarity with current vehicle and tanker legislation, including ADR compliance.
* Mounting tanker barrels onto new truck chassis or trailer bogies.
* Maintaining, repairing, and modifying road tanker barrels and ancillary equipment.
* Performing TIG & MIG welding in aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel
* Performing repairs on truck components.
* Maintenance and repair of auxiliary engines
* Using fabrication machinery to create and install new components.
* Installing and maintaining running gear.
* Working on body building for heavy goods vehicles
* Conduct oneself in a consistent manner that always demonstrates the companies values & behaviors
Requirements
* City & Guilds 1,2 and 3 certificates (Highly Advantageous)
* Previous experience working with road tankers or relevant plant equipment,
* Strong expertise in welding (TIG & MIG), fabrication, and vehicle systems.
* Double deck maintenance experience – (Desirable)
* Previous experience working on tankers
