Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced EC&I Engineer with experience in the nuclear industry to be engaged on a permanent basis to be located in Barrow with flexible hybrid working.
What you'll be doing:
Developing sound technical solutions to issues arising during construction and commissioning of plant
Support or act as the engineering member of the test and authorisation groups (depending on experience)
Specialise in EC&I discipline
Author Chief Engineer Declaration Statements based on engineering review of the as-built/as-tested status of the plant to support entry into build phase
Carry out nuclear safety assessment of design changes and deviations from the design intent
Ensuring the design intent of the Plant is maintained during build and text activities on site
Providing technical rationale and sound engineering recommendations to clients
Proving an interface with Build/Test teams for engineering solutions
Enabling efficient programme execution with engineering solutions Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Degree qualified Electrical Engineering or Control and Instrumentation Engineering
Experience of supporting build and commissioning of Electrical and/or Control Systems
Demonstrable understanding of 3 phase/single phase machines; digital and analogue based control systems and mechanical interfaces
Technical report writing skillsDesirable:
Experience of justifying design change, ideally within nuclear
Previous Nuclear experience
Knowledge of the Nuclear Industry and Nuclear Regulations (or other highly regulated industry)
Exposure to Microsoft Office Suite
