My client is a £20million turnover food manufacturing business based in Leeds.
  
As a result of a recent restructuring process, they are seeking a Financial Accountant / Finance Manager to drive a ‘best in class’ reporting function for the business as it moves forward to its next stage of growth and development.
  
The role will have responsibility for coaching and mentoring a team to develop their skills and capabilities and deliver an outstanding service to the business. Key responsibilities include: 

Preparation, review and delivery of monthly management accounts with completed supporting schedules
Ensuring the Finance ledger team maintains complete and accurate reporting
Review of internal processes to ensure they are “fit for purpose”, efficient and appropriate for the business
Support and develop team members to ensure shared knowledge, skills and provide structured career paths for all
Provide information as required by external parties (Bank, HMRC, ONS, Insurance, Auditors)
Lead the preparation of accounts/tax disclosures and schedules for statutory audit In order to deliver, you will be: 

A qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA
Technically competent from a financial reporting perspective
Experienced in similar role, not necessarily from within the food industry although this would be advantageous
Able to demonstrate initiative, problem solving and communication skills
A drive to succeed, improve and challenge the status quo
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity  This is a site based role, and in order to be considered you MUST already live within a commutable distance of Leeds.
  
Salary £50,000 - £60,000
