Degree Apprenticeship Implementation Lead
Salary £50,000 per annum (FTC)
Hours Average of 18 hours per week, all year round (Flexible and Hybrid working pattern)
Contract Fixed term to 31/07/2025
Reporting to UCP Academic Director
Overall Purpose
To manage the co-ordination and implementation of degree apprenticeships at UCP. This will include registration with RoATP/APAR) and liaison with IfATE. The re-validation of 5 degree programmes and readiness to deliver them in 25/26 is necessary. To lead and coordinate others to ensure all aspects of the project are delivered and to provide day to day project / operational support to managers and teams. This project is supported by the OfS Wave 3 bid process.
Responsibilities
Co-ordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of the project
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress-based n the wave 3 bid submitted
Manage the revalidation timeline with degree partners and coordinate validation events
Ensure successful validation of the new degree apprenticeships with the Open University (OU) and BGU
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with stakeholders (e.g. IfATE, OU) and employers
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Achieve UCP registration on the APAR
Delegate project tasks based on staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
Track and report on project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of curriculum revisions, OU validation and system developments
Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on regulatory requirements
Provide regular progress reports on the project
Act as point of contact for HE Managers on a day to day basis to support delivery of key objectives and to support the management of workloads
Coordinate an effective outreach and marketing strategy working alongside Marketing and Apprenticeship/ Employer Engagement teams
Perform other related duties as assigned

Management qualification
Project management qualification
Minimum of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
Experience
Recent experience of HE curriculum development
Knowledge of Degree Apprenticeship delivery
Apprenticeship compliance and reporting
Stakeholder engagement for curriculum development
Developing and implementing systems to align with OfS and Ofsted requirements
Experience of working with the Open University
Knowledge
Up-to date knowledge and understanding of degree apprenticeships
Knowledge of regulatory requirements
Up-to date knowledge and understanding of HE validation and IfATE
Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
Ability to work co-operatively with others to complete tasks and implement process improvements
