Nursery General Teaching Assistant

Northwood Community Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community in Kirkby, where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) plays a key role in setting children on the path to a successful and happy educational journey.

The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery General Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team. The successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day support of the Nursery class, working alongside the teacher to provide an engaging and safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children with activities to enhance their learning, social, and emotional development.
Assisting with the preparation of resources and setting up learning spaces.
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school's inclusive ethos.
Helping with personal care needs when required.

Person Specification:

A passion for working with young children.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Previous experience in an EYFS setting is desirable but not essential.
A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Teaching Support.
