Assistant Site Manager
Wigan – North West
£45,000 - £55,000 + Package
Our client is a well established construction business based in Greater Manchester. They are looking to recruit an experience Assistant Site Manager to join their growing team working on a number of new build residential projects in the Lancashire and Manchester areas.
Role purpose
* To assist the Site Manager in all site-based activities to achieve successful completion in line with Company and Customer expectations and to provide support to the Site Team whilst developing knowledge and skills.
* Assist the Site Manager in overseeing all site activities to ensure successful project outcome.
* Ensure company HSQE standards, operating processes, policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times.
* Monitor the quality of work to ensure high standards are consistently achieved and address any issues with the sub-contractors and trades.
* Identify potential issues which will affect successful project delivery and take necessary action to remedy the situation or escalate as appropriate.
* Maintain accurate and current site records in line with Company and legislative requirements.
* To safeguard the Company's contractual position at all times, ensuring contract terms are understood and adhered to.
* Liaise with the Commercial team to monitor the financial status of the project, identify solutions to problems and improvements and organise activity to deliver these.
* Safeguard the Company's financial position and report variations to the commercial team.
* Assist the Site Manager in managing prelim costs within budget.
* To facilitate the effective close out of projects and to ensure snagging process is managed effectively.
Experience
* Construction background ideally within fast-paced tier 1 contractor.
* Demonstrable sound technical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and other construction information.
