Sewing Machinist

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting experienced Sewing Machinist's to join our well established client.

Job Duties:

* Operate Lockstitch and overlock sewing machine.

* Operate manual and mechanical cutting, eyeleting and similar equipment.

* Assist in the manufacture of sewn goods, this includes marking, cutting and sewing of various fabrics to manufacture a wide variety of sewn goods.

* Ensure work area and environment is kept clean, tidy and organised.

* Adhere to good practice in relation to health & safety and working methods.

* Any other tasks reasonably required by management.

Requirements:

* Basic sewing skills.

* Ability to read and understand written pattern instructions.

* Willingness to teach, learn and develop.

* Can do attitude.

Salary: £11.70 per hour + regular overtime available at a good overtime rate.

Full time hours vary from 38 hours per week Monday - Friday.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position
