About the Role:
Our client, a well-established secondary school in Doncaster, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Librarian to join their team starting in September. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the academic and personal development of students through the management of the school's library resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the school library, ensuring it is a welcoming and resourceful environment for students and staff.
Support and encourage students in their reading and research, helping them to develop information literacy skills.
Organize and promote a wide range of reading activities, book clubs, and literacy events to engage students.
Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into classroom learning.
Maintain an up-to-date and diverse collection of books, digital resources, and other materials.
Foster a culture of reading within the school by recommending books and materials tailored to different age groups and reading abilities.
Ensure the library operates efficiently, including managing budgets, cataloguing new materials, and overseeing the use of the library system.
