About the opportunity:
* Reporting to the Commercial Director
* Manage procurement costs for the division.
* Ensure compliance with group purchasing arrangements.
* Collect rebates and manage material budgets.
* Ensure competitive procurement of materials and plant based on project specifications.
* Administer and monitor material rebate claims.
* Monitor supplier performance.
* Prepare contract material budgets and track progress.
* Issue tender enquiries and analyse quotations.
* Prepare material take-off from contract drawings.
* Develop material schedules on Excel for supplier and site use.
* Generate and issue purchase orders.
* Implement waste management systems on sites through order issuance.
* Compile and submit statistical analysis as required.
About the benefits and rewards:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £70k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.
About the requirements:
* Previous experience in a Buying role, with knowledge of take-offs, schedules, and budgets.
* Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
* GCSE English and Mathematics (grade A-C/4+ or equivalent).
* Strong communication, listening, and attention to detail skills.
* Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
