We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Passive Fire Quantity Surveyor in Plymouth- Time 4 Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of the UK`s largest maintenance and service contractors. working a very well establish and highly reputable client who offers their services to hundreds of thousands of properties across the UK.
As Permanent Quantity Surveyor – you will be primarily based at their office in Orpington – London - You will be responsible for their budget and all the costs involved Passive Fire construction projects. You will source the services and resources needed, negotiating costs with other suppliers, it's your job to identify and develop better business opportunities for improved growth. Your duties include maintaining client relationships, analysing current strategies, and developing improved action plans.
You must have Strong Leadership, Communication and teamwork Customer engagement. You will use your judgement and decision making. Employee development. Full UK driving licence
A successful Quantity Surveyor for this role will possess good knowledge of PASSIVE FIRE and a wide range of local contacts.
The surveyor is fully responsible for :
* The financial performance of the project through to collection of cash. ·
* Measurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders ·
* Take responsibility of projects from inception to completion · Identify areas to improve margin · Cost management ·
* Target creation ·
* CVR reporting and forecasting ·
* Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts ·
* Producing and submitting applications for payment ·
* Understand Health & Safety requirements ·
* Develop and maintain subcontract and supplier contracts Knowledge/Experience:
Professional Qualification:
* Quantity Surveying HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent ·
* Experience with passive fire protection works advantageous ·
* Previous experience of working with bill of quants, schedules of rates, design and build contracts etc. ·
* Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors · Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting ·
* Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative
* Experienced with direct and subcontract labour ·
* Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines · Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team ·
* Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
