Self-Employed Driver

Looking for flexible, self-employed driving work? Menzies Distribution is seeking dedicated drivers to join our team in Stockton-on-Tees. We offer flexibility with 5, 6, or 7-day contracts, and even weekend-only options for those who prefer Saturday and Sunday work.

Key Details:

Pay: £175 - £225 per day, depending on route and mileage, with overtime available.
Hours: 03:00 AM – 13:30 PM
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Requirements:

Vehicle: You must have your own 3.5T van (Transit or similar) and necessary insurances, including Goods in Transit, Public Liability, and Hire & Reward.
If you don’t have access to a vehicle, you must be financially able to lease or purchase one before starting.
Your Role:

Safely load your van according to legal requirements.
Deliver goods to lockers or directly to customers efficiently and on time.
Ensure the security of your vehicle and goods while in transit.
Collect previous day’s orders.
Break down, allocate, and load inbound supplies.
Keep delivery lockers clean and free from rubbish.
Complete all necessary paperwork according to company guidelines.
Adhere to all company procedures and policies.
What We’re Looking For:

Full UK driving licence, held for at least 2 years (no more than 6 points).
21 years of age or older, with no previous driving disqualifications (NI, DD, or DR).
Solid local knowledge of commercial areas and streets.
Physically fit to handle the demands of multi-drop driving and warehouse duties.
Hardworking, with a positive, flexible attitude.
Willingness to undergo random background checks and drug & alcohol testing.
