Hays Education are working with a school rated 'Good' by Ofsted just outside Derby centre. This is a small school who has high levels of SEND and behavioural needs.

As a Primary School Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Individual / Group Support: Provide personalised support to students with SEMH needs, ensuring their well-being and engagement in learning.
Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and minimise disruptions.
Academic Assistance: Assist students in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials as needed.
Emotional Support: Build strong relationships with students, offering emotional support and encouragement.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
Requirements:

Experience in a child-facing role
Relevant teaching assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
Experience with working with SEND children is essential
Excellent classroom practice
Behaviour management
Enthusiasm and flexibility
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
