Class 1 Driver

Here at HireGiant we are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Chilwell, Nottingham.

This is for a national haulage company, so are a big player in haulage and storage sector. You as the driver will need to complete deliveries of their goods to clients across the UK. There is a strong possibility for the Class 1 Driver to be placed on long term hire should they perform well without any incidents, lateness and repeated infringements.

The Role:

The Class 1 driver will be required to work Monday to Friday, they do have weekend work for those who want it. The work starts immediately and involves making up to 1 or 2 deliveries, then a collection of goods on either a curtain side truck or box trailer wagon. HGV Class 1 experience is needed due to the nature of the work, along with HGV1 Driver experience, you must also be competent with strapping a load securely to follow HSE and driver regulations.

Requirements for this role:

The Class 1 Driver will require:

Cat C+E entitlement on their licence
Valid Digital tacho & CPC Card
Safety Boots & Hi Viz Vest

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday (Weekend work if wanted)

Start time between 06:00am & 08:00am (can accommodate earlier and later starts if prior agreed)

Shifts will be between 10-12 hours

The hourly rate for this role is:

£15.75 - £17.25 - per hour Monday to Friday PAYE to start
