What are the day-to-day duties for this Warehouse Operative role?
We are seeking an organised and proactive Warehouse Operative to join our clients team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a collaborative setting. As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be responsible for picking and processing sales and production orders, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring warehouse organisation and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Pick items for sales and production orders, coordinating with purchasing on stock issues
* Organize and manage stock – refilling pick boxes, conducting stock counts, and creating space for new items
* Oversee the receiving and organizing of large UK/overseas deliveries
* Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse machinery, including forklift servicing, charging, and safety checks
* Support despatch and goods-in teams with daily duties, such as booking in and despatching orders
What skills and experience will I need for this Warehouse Operative role?
* Previous experience in warehouse management or similar roles
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
* Proactive approach to stock management and warehouse organisation
* Familiarity with warehouse equipment and processes
