Salary: Up to £42,000
Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday with a half day Friday finish.

Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be integral to overseeing the complete Manufacturing Life Cycle. In this position, you will work closely with Design Engineers and Production teams to optimise manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on setting up, modifying, and optimising processes while improving efficiency and supporting product outsourcing. Cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Planning, and QHSE teams will also be a critical part of your role.
Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with engineers during the design phase to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
* Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production and outsourcing.
* Identifying and implementing improvements in tools, jigs, fixtures, and capital equipment.
* Supporting outsourcing efforts with suppliers and ensuring quality standards.
* Promoting health, safety, and environmental improvements (QHSE) across operations.
* Developing training plans for production and apprentices.
* Participating in offsite testing or builds as required.
Skills & Experience:
To succeed as a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll need:
* A degree in engineering (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, or Control Systems) or Chartered Engineer status.
* Proven experience in process improvements and design for manufacture.
* Strong organisational, communication, and prioritisation skills.
* The ability to create comprehensive SOPs across engineering disciplines.
* Experience with offsite work is desirable.
* A deep understanding of engineering principles and production processes.
