About the Role:
In this permanent, full-time position, you’ll work closely with the Accountable Manager to develop and oversee a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) across the AOC, Part CAMO, and Part 145 Organisations. You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, promote best practices, and drive a safety-first culture within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead hazard identification, risk analysis, and management initiatives.
* Monitor safety action plans to ensure risks are effectively mitigated.
* Provide regular safety performance reports to the safety review board.
* Manage safety documentation and ensure safety training meets required standards.
* Advise on safety matters and oversee accident/investigation processes.
* Manage the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programme and address any identified issues.
* Promote a ‘just culture’ and safety awareness across the business.
* Ensure communication of Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs) to relevant authorities.
* Lead and participate in Safety Action Groups (SAGs) to enhance safety objectives.

You’ll need:
* A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2 years in the aviation sector.
* Strong knowledge of ICAO standards and UK/European safety regulations.
* Expertise in safety investigation, risk management, and human factors.
* Experience in managing compliance monitoring systems and promoting a positive safety culture.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
