Logistics Manager needed in White City
Munnelly Support Services is a reputable construction company with a portfolio of diverse projects across London. We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to provide temporary cover for a two-week assignment based in White City/Shepherds Bush. Successful performance on this assignment may lead to opportunities to work on other sites within our extensive project network.
Position Overview: As a skilled Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless coordination of materials, equipment, and resources across our construction sites. Your expertise in logistics management will be instrumental in maintaining our project schedules and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies across multiple construction sites.
* Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to guarantee timely and efficient deliveries.
* Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as required to prevent disruptions.
* Plan and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and enhance efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
* Implement and uphold safety protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Address logistical challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or equivalent role, preferably within the construction industry.
* Possession of a valid SMSTS Certificate.
* CSCS Card (black preferred) is required.
* First Aid Certificate (3-Day Course) is mandatory.
* Previous experience in logistics management is highly desired.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work with a diverse team including labourers, tradesmen, cleaners, plant operators, marshals, and subcontractors.
* Proficiency in liaising with site managers and subcontractors.
* Flexibility to work across different construction sites within the London area
