Registered Children's Home Manager (EBD) - Liverpool

Are you a hands-on, down-to-earth leader with a passion for therapeutic care? Brighter Horizons Care & Support is expanding its EBD children's homes in Liverpool and needs an experienced Registered Manager to lead one of their new homes with the potential to grow alongside the business.

£45k - £55k (D.O.E)
Full-time

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the home in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring child protection and robust risk management.
* Drive staff development through supervision, training, and performance management.
* Oversee Ofsted inspections, policies, and record-keeping to maintain Good/Outstanding ratings.
* Manage budgets, resources, and home maintenance for a safe, nurturing environment.
* Build multi-agency partnerships (LAs, social workers, health) and advocate for children's voices.

Essential Criteria:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a children's residential care setting in the last 5 years.
* At least 1 year of management experience in a children's home.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
* Experience in safeguarding, child protection, and risk management.
* Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
* Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
* Enhanced DBS check (required).

Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in managing a Good or Outstanding Ofsted-rated home.
* Understanding of therapeutic models of care.
* Experience in setting up a new children's home and achieving Ofsted registration.
