Working within the Burton and South Derbyshire College Distance Learning Department you will make a significant contribution to further enhancing the growth of our distance learning provision.
The position will facilitate effective learning by providing assessment, support and guidance to a case load of learners undertaking a distance learning course of study in Cyber Security, Digital Marketing, Counselling, Health and Social Care and Early Years related qualifications. All of your work can be carried out remotely or on site via our bespoke internet-based systems, EQUAL and eAssessor Pro.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and experience to be considered for this position:
Vocationally competent and a related qualification to level 3 in the together with suitable maths and English skills
Good ICT skills and experience of Virtual Learning Environments (VLE’s)
Recent experience of assessing/IQA within a further education environment
A good understanding of internal quality assurance procedures
Excellent organisation, diary management and planning skills with a proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines both independently and as part of a team
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
