I am working with a respected design & build contractor known for delivering high-quality residential, student accommodation, and commercial developments across London and the South East.

As their pipeline grows, they’re looking to add a Drafting Technician to their in-house design team. If you have a strong eye for technical detail and want to be part of a collaborative environment where your input genuinely shapes the end product—this is the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

? Creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD (or similar software)

? Collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to translate design concepts into build-ready plans

? Supporting project documentation, including revisions, updates, and construction issue drawings

? Ensuring all designs comply with current building regulations and standards

? Coordinating with on-site teams and subcontractors for seamless design-to-construction transitions

What You’ll Need:

- Previous experience in a drafting or CAD technician role (construction sector preferred)

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with construction drawings and detailing

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team

- Attention to detail and a solid understanding of UK building regulations
